This collection consists of Mollenhoff's subject files on John Vincent Atanasoff and the J.V. Atanasoff Trial, ca. 1970s-1990s. The subject files include biographical information on Atanasoff; published works on the development of the computers; newspaper clippings; and correspondence with other contacts and researchers. Recent accessions include scrapbooks and chapter proofs for Mollenhoff's book.

Clark R. Mollenhoff (b. 1921) was a Washington reporter from 1950 to 1969, and Washington bureau chief for the Des Moines Register from 1970 to 1976.
